Personality:

An affable fellow to be around with, he enjoys the company of others, and always was willing to lend an ear to their sorrows and help them out when needed. The man was known to be a kind soul, and people who wanted to rely on. He often sings songs of merriment and laughter and joy, to the amusement of everyone that came to hear him. He always tends to prefer solving problems using his voice and diplomatic means as much as possible. He would only draw his weapon, a sword called Samavakaron, if he had no other choice because of his distaste for violence. He would often stir up the fires of courage in the people he meets that are full of despair and hopelessness, as he often sang songs of courage, praise, and of a better tomorrow, which often helps. He is slow to anger and it often takes a lot to get him to act out angrily. He tends to be forgiving for the slightest mistakes or mistakes done out of uncontrolled emotions.

But deep within, he is depressed and melancholic, for Manari like him are affected greatly by events that are traumatic and hurt them completely to the spiritual level. He still regrets everyday for the suffering of his people and for the mistakes of the past. He goes on lonely walks at night, singing songs of lamentation for the lost glories of his people, his part in causing their fall, and asking for forgiveness from the Twinned God. Because of his golden voice, it often attracts trouble from all directions, from the common bandit to the worst of the servants of the Dark. He can still beat them, but he often feels apathetic in these certain situations, almost seemingly like he wants to die but at the same time, he wants to live and his body acts accordingly. He has a long memory and rarely ever forgets the most grievous slights against him, even when the person is forgiven by him. He will use that against them when push comes to shove.

Despite being affable, he tends to be a solitary figure out of habit because of his long life and many of his friends are mortals, passing on in their long lives of 40-80 years of age or their lives cutting short, which, to Oronelar, is a mere blink in his life. Each death, he feels greatly, and it only adds more to his long and unending sorrow. But at the same time, he becomes jealous of mortals, envying their short yet fulfilling lives, for they do not have to live with the thousands of years of carrying sorrowful burdens.

Alongside that, he is solitary because the most weak-willed people are attracted to him through his divine-like beauty, which would often be the death of them because the same beauty attracts jealous or hateful adversaries from all over. All of this death will add more to his already growing pains and sorrows. Still, that does not prevent him from fighting for the weak and the downtrodden.

The crowds as well tempt him. Tempt him with mortal desires that he had long thought to have gone past. But it lingers. His desire to partake in the forbidden fruits the mortals offer to him is another reason for his solitary existence, for he knows that he is more greatly in tune with his emotions and self than normal mortals ever are due to his heritage of being one of the Manari. If he were to partake in the offerings, he fears that he might just become like Morúmaro and become a leech and a demon. Overall, he wishes to wander, to do good in the world, and sing songs of praise and, oddly, lamentations. He often wears a hood or some object over his head to hide his beauty because of this.

There are times where he will become callous by mortal standards and will often not intervene if he sees no way to fix the problem. Yet this callousness pains him, because again, he feels and grieves greatly for the mortal souls that die in his presence. But he knows his callousness is necessary at times because he is tired and he cannot always be a savior to everyone. He knows he cannot save everyone. To people, it is callous, but to those that know him, some will chastise him for just bystanding, or some will understand that people are not entitled to his help. He is not a god, but a drained, tired, immortal being that tries his best.

Because of his ability to greatly feel the emotions he feels, he is very empathetic towards others and feels their pain and sorrows, and he would often try to soothe them through his words or through song.

The Manar still hopes that one day, his suffering will end, and that the troubles of the world are no longer perverted by the Prince of Darkness. So he fights on, stubbornly longing for that hope while he does his penance.
